Annual Forum Highlights // Cultural and Creative Business in the New Consumption Era

As an engine of experiential economy and innovation, cultural and creative business, which to a large extent represents the spirit of a country or a city, has drawn increasing attention globally for its economic importance and cultural significance.

Shanghai has a glorious history and heritage in cultural business. The city, as the birthplace of so-called “Hai Culture”, is known for its integration of Chinese and diversified global cultures as well as its dynamic nature that keeps it up with the latest development around the world. Shanghai International Film Festival is one of the most influential cultural events of this kind in the Asia Pacific region. M50 Creative Park and West Coast Cultural Corridor have grown into world-class media zones of culture and art. In the process of building the city’s “Four Major Brands” and shaping high-quality life in Shanghai, the importance of the cultural and creative business will be further recognized and highlighted.

NYU Shanghai Center for Business Education and Research will hold its annual forum on April 27th, 2019, with the theme of “Cultural and Creative Business in the New Consumption Era”.
